Is being a bondsman the same as 'dawg the bounty hunter'?
Generally speaking, NO! A modern bondman more closely
resembles an insurance salesman. Fugitive recovery is
almost always optional, depending on the agency you work with.
How can I pay for my surety bail bond class?
We accept checks and money orders. Credit cards or cash
are not accepted at this time. Payment in advance is
required, please submit along with your original registration
form.
How do I get a refund for ohio bondman classes tuition or
proctor fees?
Since this is a self-study course and your participation begins
the moment you receive our course materials, we're unable to
give refunds once we initiate delivery of your course materials.
Where do I take surety bail class proctored exam?
You let us know (at least 2 weeks in advance) the date and time
you wish to take the exam, and a few alternates, and we'll pick
the location. Where available, we generally schedule the
exam at the date and time within 30 miles of your home or work
address. You are responsible for transportation to and
from the exam location. Exam must begin at the exact time
scheduled, and end exactly one hour later -- don't be late,
there is no make-up time permitted.
When can I take the Ohio surety bail bond prelicensing class
exam?
You can take exam anytime within 1 year of registering for our
course. We must receive your proctored exam request at
least 14 days before your requested exam date. If we do
not receive your request within that timeframe, your request
will be rejected. This is the minimum time required, and
we appreciate additional time if possible. We need this
time to arrange and notify ODI of the proctored exam location.
What will happen once I request a surety bail class proctored
exam?
We must receive your proctored exam request at least 14 days

What if I don't pass the proctored ohio surety bail bond
course exam?
Make no mistake about it: our Ohio bondsman class exam is not
easy. If you study hard and take the course seriously, you won't
have a problem. If you pass our exam, you should feel very
confident you'll pass the state test. However, if you fail
pass the exam, we'll allow you to retake the exam up to 3 times
within 1 year of course registration. The first proctored
exam fee is included in the course tuition. Additional
proctored exams are $60 each and must be paid upon exam request.
